Made to Stick: Make You & Your Ideas Unforgettable

On July 25, 2007

Love ‘em or Hate ‘em, You Can’t Forget ‘em.

“Where’s the beef?”

“So easy even a caveman could do it.”

What is it about these phrases and accompanying images from Wendy’s and Geico commercials that make them so memorable?

In Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, Chip and Dan Heath explain brilliantly why such “sticky” ideas escape the dustbin of history and provide a framework that enables us to communicate more effectively.

“Regardless of your level of ‘natural creativity’ … a little focused effort can make almost any idea stickier [and] more likely to make a difference,” they write.

The Heath brothers have written a very sticky book that will improve your ability to be truly memorable–online, in-print or in person. Click here to read our full review in Gulfshore Business.

One of the best books on this hot subject. Similar to Tipping Point but with additional great new concepts.

    James,
Thanks for the feedback. I read lots and lots of books–and I found this one of the best. It’s a fun read that offers lots of practical, put-it-to-work advice.
